Skincare Products I Love: Biore UV Aqua Rich Broad Spectrum Sunscreen
Sunscreen should be your BFF for life, right? Choose one that loves your skin as much as you do.
One of the joys of being a tween discovering skincare was playing with Biore Pore Strips. You’d stick one of the strips on your nose and rip it off. It was so gross, yet so satisfying. You’d marvel at the minute topographical view of a mountain range of zit stuff on the strip.
Using their products as a tween means that I have a soft spot for anything Biore. When asked if I wanted to receive samples of Biore’s new sunscreen to try out, it was a no-brainer for me to say yes. The company debuted the products over the summer. This sunscreen became (and still is) my go-to for sun protection. Why am I writing about sunscreen now? YOU NEED TO APPLY SUNSCREEN ALL YEAR LONG!
Want to be one of those people who appears to be ageless? Want soft, velvety skin that barely shows fine lines and wrinkles? Want to avoid sunspots? The sun may feel glorious against your skin, but remember, it can turn you into a raisin. Sunscreen protects your skin against premature aging. It protects your skin from sun-induced acne and other annoying things you don’t need. Wear sunscreen! Sunscreen is your friend. Trust me on this one. Rant over, and we’re back from our commercial break.
Biore’s sunscreen has two strengths: Biore UVA Aqua Rich SPF50 Daily Moisturizer Sunscreen and Biore UVA Aqua Rich SPF30 Daily Moisturizer Sunscreen both are under $15.00. Is this sunscreen wrapped in a moisturizer, or is it a moisturizer wrapped in sunscreen? This featherweight sunscreen contains hyaluronic acid royal jelly extract with a water base. In other words, it’s a waterproof sunscreen and a moisturizer. It doesn’t leave a white cast and protects against both UVA and UVB rays. Yes, you can use it on your face and body. Biore’s sunscreen doesn’t contain artificial colorants, oxybenzone, octinoxate, or oil. It is vegan-friendly and absorbs quickly into your skin.
I’ve layered it over serums and moisturizers. No issues. I’ve layered it over serums, moisturizers, and a variety of makeup bases. No problems. No matter what I paired this sunscreen with, it behaved. My makeup didn’t bubble, slide off, or get funky. Worn alone, the only thing the sunscreen appeared to do was enhance my complexion.
It does have a faint citrusy scent. It’s innocuous and, once applied to your skin, dissipates quickly. Even if I hadn’t started a retinol regimen, I would be using Biore’s sunscreen daily. Why? I want my skin to look its absolute best all year long.
